Sabato Eliminatorie per Hambo & Oaks
Fluttua odore di Hambletonian nelle strade di East Rutherford, dove l’impianto del Meadowlands, tra meno di due settimane, accoglierà la 101esima edizione della prova giovanile di maggior interesse nel mondo del trotto.A definirne i partecipanti, saranno chiamate tre batterie per le Oaks e due per la prova faro, la open, da un milione di dollari.
Della prima divisione femminile (da 50mila dollari come le altre due), la favorita nettissima sarà una Jailbird Jog in stato di grazia, che dovrà vedersela con Madam Cheval ed All Time Trot.
La seconda batteria rosa, invece, avrà i riflettori puntati sulla svedese Nezuko Kamado, ancora imbattuta quest’anno e figlia dell’italiana Zefira Kronos.
La terza prova femminile avrà come protagonista attesa Southwind Chaska, la quale dovrà vedersela con la forte Setyoursightshigh e con Leading Lady.
Le prove open, quelle dell’Hambo milionario, saranno due ed entrambe da 100mila dollari.
La prima proporrà uno scontro entusiasmante: quello tra Apex, il predestinato figlio di Mission Brief e dominatore di questa stagione, e il biasuzziano American Power, fresco di nuovo record della pista (1.50) in quel di Vernon Downs in occasione dello Zweig Memorial Trot (G2).
La seconda batteria vedrà in pista altre punte di rilievo della generazione 2022, come Diabolic Hill e Nix Nacken, rispettivamente 2º e 3º di American Power nel recente Zweig Memorial. Occhi puntati anche su Magic Punk, erede di Wishing Stone, Spencer Hanover e It Could Be Worse.
